Steerlab

Automate your way to winning more RFPs with AI.

Pivoting to pre-seed funding

I connected with Steerlab at a pivotal moment during their residency at Station F, Paris’ largest tech incubator. With a working product powered by strong technology, they sought a refreshed brand and product design direction to accelerate growth, prepare for pre-seed funding, and drive momentum in their sales pipeline.
Steerlab merch
Steerlab branded merchandise including a gradient lanyard with clip, a black tote bag held by a person, and two enamel mugs in pastel yellow and purple with Steerlab logo.

Flipping through with clarity

The symbol is designed with three layered elements moving in harmony, evoking the ease of flipping through documents with precision and control. It embodies clarity, organisation, and the confidence teams gain from an intelligent, efficient workflow.
Steerlab colors
Color palette swatches labeled with names including Onyx, Paragraph, Border, White, Cream, Mint Dark, Mint, Mint Light, Lavender Dark, Lavender, Lavender Light, and Foam, alongside gradient blends of lavender and mint colors.

A palette that guides responses

Designed for clarity and flexibility, the palette uses custom black and dark grey for extensive text content, complemented by softer secondary and tertiary tones that balance energy and calm. Mint and lavender introduce playful motion through gradients and provide visual highlights where needed.
Steerlab icons
Four icons: two overlapping chat bubbles with forward arrows, a document with a checkmark badge, a light bulb with a lightning bolt inside, and an open book with two circular arrows.

Highlighting what matters

The gradient finds new purpose in pictograms that illuminate the product's key features across digital touchpoints. These branded markers bridge the gap between visual identity and product communication, ensuring feature highlights remain both distinctive and immediately comprehensible.
Steerlab typography
Two text boxes showcasing fonts; the first titled 'Your RFP proposal' highlights SOC2 and ISO 27001 compliance and AI-enhanced vendor questionnaire responses, the second titled 'Content Library' mentions efficiency and a knowledge base on autopilot, each followed by alphabet and number samples.

Letters without borders

Typography defines Steerlab’s visual voice. The typeface’s geometric, mono-linear forms echo the precision and rhythm of the product, while the so-called ‘bent pipe’ details lend character. Designed for universality, it spans Latin, Cyrillic, Greek, Arabic, Hebrew, Japanese, and Korean, enabling scalable application of the product across multiple languages.

Ensuring a scalable presence

To complement the brand, a set of matching scalable icons was created, enabling the product to be fully implemented immediately after roll-out.

A coherent visual style for avatars ensures consistency across social media channels, strengthening Steerlab’s employer brand on LinkedIn.

Steerlab at work

A one-minute video brings Steerlab’s capabilities to life. Designed for social media and the sales process, it uses concise visuals and storytelling to illustrate how proposal, presales, and security teams can navigate complex workflows and reach their objectives with confidence.

Product UI infused in the brand

The brand informed the product. Through UI design and close collaboration with Steerlab’s product team, I shaped main pages, proposal views, AI conversations, and a Chrome extension, ensuring every element upheld both usability and accessibility while remaining aligned with Steerlab’s visual identity.
Since the new rebranding and product design direction, Steerlab has raised €1.9 million to empower PreSales teams to win more deals with AI and became a part of Future 40, Station F’s annual list of best performing start-ups.
